DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control), pronounced “Dai-sek” is a communication protocol between a satellite receiver and the TVA roof antenna. Depending on the chosen channel of your receiver (or TV with built-in receiver), the system automatically searches for the desired satellite.

The TVA roof antenna is standard (only TVA systems supplied from March 2016) programmed for automatic alignment with DiSEqC.

If you have a Canal Digitaal / TV Vlaanderen channel list programmed receiver, the satellite dish automatically switches to the correct satellite associated with the TV channel you have chosen. On a TV channel that is broadcast via Astra 3 the antenna focuses on Astra 3, with a channel from Astra 1 on Astra 1 etc. If you find this functionality undesirable and only want to switch manually via the control panel of the satellite dish, you can disable the DiSEqC settings in the menu of your connected receiver (or TV with built-in reciver).

To disable DiSEqC, see the manual for your receiver (or TV with built-in receiver)
